The first model in our sportswear collection, “Fly with your feet on the ground,” is the Antioquia Wren.

Its scientific name places it in the genus Thryophilus, which means “friend of the reeds.” Its species name, sernai, honors Marco Antonio Serna Díaz (1936–1991), a passionate naturalist and ornithologist, and founder of the Antioquia Ornithological Society.

It’s endemic to the tropical dry forest of the Cauca River canyon, in Antioquia.

I drew the Antioquia Wren digitally, layering color and detail until it felt as alive on screen as it does in the dry forest.
